Let's start off by being completely candid here. After all, if you're going to be so vulnerable with me as to allow me to photograph your beauty, you deserve nothing but honesty from me! I've spent most of my life with a love/hate relationship with my body. After almost two decades of battling a chronic illness, I have both the scars and battle wounds to show for it. And I've spent SO much time trying to come to terms with it.

With thoughts like, "If only I hadn't gotten sick, if only I wasn't put on a drug that caused me to balloon up and covered my body in stretch marks .. If only I didn't need this procedure or that surgery"... and so on and so on and so on..... 

But you know what? Life is too short for "if only's" and it's certainly too short not to love ourselves! As women, we are SO damn critical of our bodies and seem hyperfocused on finding flaws that are not really flaws at all!

And I'm here to tell you it's bullshit! After 30 years on this earth, battling a chronic illness, little bit of self care work and  lot of self-love work, I can finally say.....
